GATE Admit Card 2019 - IIT Madras will issue the admit card of GATE 2019 in the first week of January 2019. Registered candidates will be able to download their hall ticket with the help of their enrollment ID and password through GOAPS. GATE 2019 will be conducted on various dates on February 2019 for admission to M.Tech courses offered by various institutes. GATE Scores are also accepted by numerous PSUs for recruitment to different posts. GATE 2019 admit card is an important document for all the aspirants as it will be treated as identity card while appearing in the examination. GATE hall ticket will comprise the details of exam roll number, date, venue, time and more.

Candidates should note that no hard copy of the admit card will be sent via post. Hence, candidates have to download the GATE admit card 2019 from the official website only. About GATE 2019 Exam Pattern

  • It is an online test, to be conducted in computer-based mode.
  • The question paper will comprise a total of 65 questions worth a maximum of 100 marks.
  • The duration of GATE 2019 will be of 03 hours.
  • The questions consist of both multiple choice and numerical answer type questions.

How to download GATE Admit Card 2019?

Candidates have to follow a specific process to download the GATE 2019 admit card. The step-wise process to download the hall ticket is given below-

  • Visit the official website of GATE 2019 and Click the link referring to “GATE 2019 Hall Ticket”
  • Enter your GATE 2019 enrollment number and GOAPS password, generated at the time of registration
  • Click on “Submit” button

How to Retrieve GATE Enrollment ID and Password?

If you forget your enrolment ID or password then follow the given steps to retrieve the details-

Retrieve Password/ Enrollment ID

  • Access the admit card link and click the tab “Forgot Enrollment ID/ Password”
  • Click on “Request for OTP” to get one time password. The password/ enrolment ID will be sent to registered mail ID.
  • With the help of OTP, candidates will be able to access their account.
  • Now, change the password and save the details of enrolment ID and password.

GATE Admit Card 2019- Important Things to Consider

GATE 2019 admit card should be produced at the time of examination as no candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the same. Along with that candidates should keep a few things in their mind if they want to avoid the last minute hassles.

  • Make sure the admit card is in good condition and all the details printed on the GATE hall ticket is clearly visible.
  • Also, check that the photograph and signature is clear and identifiable.
  • Along with the admit card, candidates need to produce a valid photo ID proof at the time of examination.
  • Candidates have to submit a copy of their ID proof during the test. Hence, also bring at least 2 copies of ID proof.
  • GATE 2019 registration number must be checked as if it is correct and clearly mentioned or not.
  • Candidates should take a coloured printout of the GATE admit card on an A4 size sheet using a laser printer.

Instructions for GATE 2019 Exam Day

  • Candidates have to report to the examination centre at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
  • Before entering the examination hall, all the credentials will be verified.
  • After the commencement of the exam, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam premises.
  • Personal calculators, mobile phones, watches or any other electronic devices will not be allowed in the examination hall.
  • A seat will be allotted 45 minutes prior to the start time and they will be able to login their account and read the instructions before 20 minutes of the scheduled time.
  • Candidates will be able to access a virtual scientific calculator, provided on the computer screen.
  • GATE authorities will not be responsible for the personal belongings of the candidate.
  • Scribble pads will be distributed at the exam hall for the rough work. Before using the scribble pad, candidates have to write their name and registration number. The scribble pad needs to be returned to the invigilator after the conclusion of the exam.
