GATE 2019, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is a national-level entrance, conducted jointly by the IISc, Bangalore and the seven IITs on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE. It is mandatory to qualify the GATE to get admission into Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science. Science. GATE 2019 will be held for 23 subjects in the first and second week of February 2019. GATE scores will also be considered by various PSUs for the recruitment process.
IIT Madras is the exam conducting authority of GATE 2019 that will release the GATE 2019 application form on 01 September 2018. The link to apply online will be updated on the official website of GATE 2019. Candidates have to submit the application through online mode only. GATE registration form received at the postal address of the exam authority will not be entertained in any circumstance. Only eligible candidates will be able to fill the online application form for GATE 2019. Hence, it is mandatory to check the full eligibility before applying online. There is no age limit to apply for GATE 2019 Examination.

After checking the eligibility norms, candidates should check the basic requirements and all instructions to fill the application form. The GATE 2019 application form will be released by IIT Madras in the first week of September 2018 and aspirants have almost a month to submit their registration form. The application process includes online registration, form filling, payment of fees and uploading of scanned documents. All the steps should be completed in the prescribed time duration. Here, get the complete details of GATE 2019 registration process-
Step-1- Online Registration Through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS)
The registration can be made on the GOAPS website, to be released in the September 2018. Candidates have to register online by entering a valid e-mail address, mobile number and by choosing a password. Make sure the email ID and phone number are working as further communication will be made on the same.
Step-2- Filling GATE 2019 Application Form
A computer-generated enrolment ID and password will be sent to your email address. Candidates have to log into their account by using the same. Also, save this GOAPS Enrollment ID and password because you will need the same for downloading the admit card and checking the result.
A blank application form will appear on your screen after logging. Candidates have to fill the blank fields with the correct and valid details. Make sure you fill all the mandatory fields, else you won’t be able to move to another step. Candidates have to fill the below mentioned details
Step-3- Upload Required Documents
After filling all the required information in the application form, re-check the details for error and make the correction, if required. On submitting the details, a new page will open where you need to upload the scanned documents in JPG format. SC/ST/ Pwd Candidates have to upload the relevant certificates issued ONLY by the authorized officials. The same document is required to be submitted to the admitting institution during the admission process.

Step-4- Application Fee Payment
The next step after filling the application form and uploading documents is payment of application fee. The application fee is neither transferable nor refunded in any circumstance. Candidates can only pay the application fee through net banking or credit card or debit card. Apart from online payment, no other mode to pay the fee is available. Step-5- Download Confirmation Page
After completing all the step, the last one is to download the confirmation page, which will appear on your screen. It is mandatory for all applicants to download the same for future use. If a candidate fails to receive the confirmation page after submitting the GATE 2019 application form, then their form is not submitted completely and need to fill the same again.
After the conclusion of the application process, the exam conducting authority will review all the applications for the errors in uploaded supporting documents, clarity of the photograph and signature. In case of any error, candidates will receive an intimation for rectification. Applicants have to make the correction is the given time else, their form will be rejected. All the corrections will be made online only. The form correction will be commenced in the second week of November 2018. For the correction procedure, the applicants have to log into their GOAPS account, make the changes and pay a certain amount of money to complete the process.
A provision to change the examination centre will also be provided on the official website. Wherein, candidates can change the city if they want to change their preferences.
