GATE Result 2019- IIT Madras, the exam conducting authority, will announce the result of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering on 16 March 2019. Candidates who will appear in the GATE 2019 on different exam dates will be able to check their GATE scores in the result. Candidates should keep their enrolment ID and password handy to check the GATE 2019 result. Qualified candidates will be able to download their GATE 2019 Scorecards from 20 March 2019 to 31 May 2019 from the GOAPS portal. After the last date, candidates should pay a fee of 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for obtaining the GATE scorecard till 31 December 2019. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted for admission to various M.Tech/M.E/ Ph.D courses offered by IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other institutes in India. The GATE result will be announced online only. Candidates will not receive any hard copy of scorecard at their postal address. Hence, it is mandatory to visit the official website of GATE 2019 in order to download the result detail. Below are the steps to check the GATE 2019 result through online mode-
Make sure you have entered all the details correctly. If there will be any wrong detail, then the result page will not appear. Candidates who will qualify the examination with minimum qualifying marks will be able to download the GATE scorecard.

Q.1. Till when I can download the hard copy of the scorecard and what is the process?
Ans- There is no provision for a hard copy since the GATE scorecard is available online only. Yes, there is the last date and it is May 31. Candidates can further obtain the scorecard on payment of a fee of Rs 500 till December 31, 2019. Any further requests beyond that will not be entertained.
Q.2. What is the validity of GATE scores?
Ans- The GATE result is valid only if the candidate has qualified in the exam. In such a case the scorecard will be valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of the GATE result.
Q.3. How to download GATE 2019 scorecard after due date – Mid May 2019?
Ans - Candidates are suggested to download their scorecard before May 31, as they will be able to download it for free. However, if they have failed to download it then, they can still do so after paying Rs 500 through till December 31, 2019.
Q.4. Do I have to preserve my GATE result cum scorecard?
Since the scorecard is valid for a period of three years, it is advisable to keep this in mind and keep a soft copy of it to be used in future.
