JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria- National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 on its official website, nta.ac.in. Aspirants should check the entire eligibility criteria before opting for online registration, to be commenced on 01 September 2018 for January Examination. The eligibility criteria include various norms such as age limit, educational qualification, subjects in qualifying examination, minimum marks etc. Candidates have to fulfill all the eligibility norms in order to apply for the JEE Main 2019. Any aspirant who fails to satisfy the JEE Main eligibility criteria 2019 won’t be able to appear in the entrance test. Candidates can appear in the examination three times in three consecutive years. Aadhaar Card is mandatory for all the aspirants to apply for JEE Main 2019.
JEE Main 2019 is the national level entrance test for admission to UG engineering courses offered by NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. From 2019, the exam will be held twice in a year. The first attempt of JEE Main 2019 will be held 6 to 20 January 2019 while the second attempt will be conducted from 7 to 21 April 2019. The online registration for the first attempt will be commenced from 01 September 2018 and the registration for the first attempt will be commenced from the second week of February 2019. Qualifying Examination (QE)
To be eligible for JEE Main 2019, candidates need to qualify in any of the following exams:
Pass Percentage- The JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria does not specify any pass percentage for appearing in the exam. JEE Main 2019 is also an eligibility test for admissions to UG engineering courses in states like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh etc and the pass percentage will be released by the respective state or institute to offer admission.

JEE Main candidates can avail 3 attempts for the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam.
JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs
For Admission to B.Tech Courses at NITs, IIITs and GFTIS- Candidates should have attained at least 75% marks in their qualifying examination. Additionally, candidates need to qualify the JEE Main 2019 with minimum cut off marks OR must be in the top 20 percentile of their Class 12th board exams.
For Admission to B.Arch/ B.Planning Courses- Candidates should have Mathematics as compulsory subject in qualifying examination and should have qualified the same with an aggregate of minimum 75% marks. Additionally, candidates must qualify JEE Main Paper 2 with minimum cut off marks.
Number of Attempts & Age Limit for Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha States
Candidates having domicile of Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have joined the JEE Main Admission process since 2014. The age limit and the number of attempts for admission to colleges/ institutions in these states will be followed according to their past practices. However, the admission process of IITs/ NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs will remain the same.
Availability of Aadhaar Card
Candidates will need Aadhaar Card details such as Aadhaar card number, date of birth, name, and gender while JEE Main registration for identification and authentication purposes. Also, one should ensure that their Aadhaar card details are similar to the school records. Candidates without Aadhaar Cards details will not be able to apply for JEE Main 2019 as per section 3 of Aadhaar Act.
Candidates who have passed or appearing in Class XII from Meghalaya, J&K, and Assam, can use their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number instead of Aadhar card.
