JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern- NTA (National Testing Agency) will have released the examination pattern of JEE Main 2019 on 01 September along with the official notification. From 2019, National Testing Agency will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination twice in a year. The exam pattern and syllabus of JEE Main 2019 will remain the same and there will be only online mode to take the test. JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019 includes the maximum number of questions, maximum marks, mode of the test, exam duration and others. Joint Entrance Examination (Main) consists of two papers, Paper 1 for admission to B.Tech/ B.E. courses and paper 2 for admission to B.Arch/ B. Planning courses. Both papers will consist of objective type questions. Paper 1 will include question-based on Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry while, paper 2 will be based on Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing skills.

JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern

  • JEE Main Paper 1 will be held in Computer-based mode while Paper 2 will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode.
  • There will be three medium of question paper i.e. English, Hindi & Gujarati language
  • The question type will be of the Objective type or multiple-choice (MCQs). Every question will have 04 options and among them only one is correct.
  • The test duration will be 3 hours.
  • The question will be asked from Class 11th & 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • For a correct answer, +4 marks will be awarded and for each wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted.
  • No mark will be provided for unattended questions.

JEE Main 2019 Syllabus for Paper II

Part I

  • Awareness of persons, Materials, Places, Buildings
  • Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment
  • Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Verbal, and Numerical)
  • Visualising different sides of 3 dimensional objects
  • Visualising 3 dimensional objects from 2 dimensional drawings.

Part II

  • 3-D perception- Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, colour texture, building forms and elements, harmony and contrast.
  • Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, substraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects.
  • Drawing and Design of Geometrical or Abstract patterns and shapes
  • Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urban scape (street scenes, monuments, public space, market, festivals, recreational spaces, ect.), lanscape (river fronts, plants, jungles, trees, etc.) and rural life
  • Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

 

Note- Candidates have to bring their own pencils, erasers, geometry box, color pencils, and crayons.

How to Prepare for JEE Main 2019?

The foremost thing to crack any examination is dedication and complete details of the exam. There is no shortcut to get good marks. One must have a focused approach and a well-planned strategy to qualify the JEE Main 2019. Here are some important tips for preparation-

Important Instructions for Exam Day

  • Candidates have to reach the exam centre 2½ hours before the test.
  • Do not forget to bring your JEE main 2019 Admit card along with a valid ID proof. Before downloading the same from the official website, candidates are suggested to check all the details carefully and contact the officials, JEE (Main) Secretariat/NTA before the commencement to test to get it corrected.
  • Do not bring any electronic device like calculator, mobile phone etc. while appearing in the examination. Also, other external materials like log table, notebook, book, etc. are also prohibited inside examination hall.
  • Candidates found with any suspicious material will be debarred from the examination.
  • After the commencement of test, no candidate will be permitted to enter under any circumstances.
  • Candidates should carefully read all the instructions given on the question paper.
