JEE Main 2019 Registration- NTA conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), every year. JEE Main 2019 will be conducted by NTA twice in a year. The registration for JEE Main January Examination has been concluded and the application forms for April 2019 Examination will be issued online from 08 February 2019. The application forms will be available in online mode only. Lakhs of aspirants submit the JEE Main 2019 application form with a dream to get admission in premium engineering institutes including, IITs, NITs, CFITs and more. The JEE Main 2019 application form for April Exam will be released online on the official website of JEE Main, jeemain.nic.in. The online registration includes Aadhaar card validation, form filling, submission of fee, uploading scanned images of documents and more.

Only eligible candidates will be able to submit their application form. According to the previous year’s details, candidates who have qualified the class 12th board exam in 2017/ 2018 and candidates who are appearing for 12th exams in 2019 are eligible to apply online. JEE Main 2019 Eligibility

In the official notification, CBSE will reveal the exact eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019. Below we have compiled the terms of eligibility according to the previous year’s details-

  • Age limit- There is no age limit to appear in JEE Main 2019.
  • Nationality- Candidates possessing a valid proof of their Indian nationality can apply online for the test.
  • Educational Qualification- Candidates must have qualified class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2017 or 2018 or must be appearing in 2019
  • Important Subjects in Qualifying Examination- 5 subjects including a language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and any optional subject (Biology, Biotechnology, Technical, Physical Edu, Computer science, Vocational Subject)
  • Minimum Qualifying Percentage- There is no minimum percentage required.
  • For admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs- General Category candidates must have minimum 75% marks (for SC/ST category - 65%) or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
  • Eligibility for Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, and Uttarakhand- As per the individual state rules

How to Apply Online for JEE Main 2019?

Candidates can apply online for JEE Main 2019 April Examination from 08 February 2019. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility norms can send their online JEE Main 2019 application forms till 07 March 2019. The JEE Main 2019 application form will be available in online mode only. We have provided the complete registration and application form filling procedure in this section for better understanding.

JEE aspirants need to follow the given step-wise process to successfully submit the JEE application form 2019. The registration process comprises the Aadhaar card validation, filling the application form, payment of fee, uploading of scanned images and downloading of the confirmation page.

Step-1- Online Registration With Aadhaar/ Identity Validation

Adhaar card is a mandatory document for all JEE aspirants. The registration will start with the Aadhaar Authentication process, wherein candidates have to provide below-mentioned details

  • Nationality
  • State of Eligibility
  • State from where the candidate has passed/appearing in class XII or equivalent examination
  • State mentioned in the Passport
  • Candidate's Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender

Step-2- Application Form Filling-

On authenticating the Aadhaar card, an application number and password will be generated for the respective candidate. Applicants need to login by using the computer generated application number and password to fill the details in application form. Candidates should fill the given information with correct and valid details-

  • Examination Details of JEE Main 2019 including the mode of examination, preference of test centres, Question paper medium and the paper for which candidates want to apply.
  • Personal details such as Mather’s Name, Father’s Name, Category, Place of Residence, Mailing address
  • Academic Details that include Year of Passing 12th, Place of 12th class school, Status of Qualifying examination (Passed or Appearing), Board, Roll Number of Qualifying Examination
  • Contact Details (Phone Number & Email ID)
  • Guardian Details (Occupation, Qualification and Annual Income)

Step-3- Payment of Application Fee

After filling all the details, the next step is to pay the application fee. Candidates can opt for online or offline mode to submit the fee.

Online Mode- Candidates can use any of the mentioned card or net banking service to pay the application fee through online mode

  • Syndicate Bank (Debit card/credit card/PayTM/SBI Buddy Wallet/Cash Cards
  • HDFC Bank (Debit card/Credit Card)
  • ICICI Bank (Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking)

Offline Mode- Candidates can also opt for offline mode for remitting the application fee, by using e-challan and cash payment at the nearest Syndicate Bank/ Canara Bank/ ICICI Bank.

Step-4- Uploading of Scanned Images

In order to complete the JEE Main 2019 registration process, candidates should upload the scanned copy of their recent photograph and signature of mentioned size and dimension. All the documents should be uploaded in the JPEG format else, the form will not be submitted successfully.

JEE Main 2019 Application Correction

After completion of the online JEE Main 2019 registration, the exam authority will provide a facility to make corrections in a few details. No matter, how you have applied for JEE Main 2019, the correction facility will be only available in online mode. Separate links to modify the uploaded document and application form details will be issued. Applicants will be able to make the correction in the application form from March 2019. Candidates should note that any correction through fax or e-mail will not be entertained.

JEE Main 2019 Registration FAQs

Ques- Is Aadhar Card mandatory for Candidates of Assam/J&K/Meghalaya to apply for JEE (Main) 2019?

Ans- No, Aadhar Card is not mandatory for the candidates who have passed or appearing in Class 12th from J&K, Assam & Meghalaya states. They can enter their passport number, bank account number, ration card number, or any other Govt. approved identity number. Also, they should select the test centre in these states only.

Ques- How the PIO/OCI/NRI Candidates can apply for JEE (Main)-2019 without Aadhaar?

Ans- Candidates outside India should fill their Passport details while applying.

Ques- Will the application form be rejected if the photograph doesn’t have name and date?

Ans- It is necessary to upload a photograph having the name and date. However, if candidate forget to mention the same then their form will not be rejected. No correction need to be made and candidates will be able to download their admit card.

Ques- Is thumb impression mandatory?

Ans- No, the thumb impression is not mandatory.

Ques- What process need to be followed in case of the failed transaction?

Ans- If candidates won’t receive the online payment status and won’t receive any acknowledgment then they need to pay the application fee again. The deducted amount of unsuccessful transaction will be refunded back within 7 to 10 days to the card account.

In case, offline payment and the status will not be updated on the website, the candidate should contact the concerned bank/branch to check the status. Even if the challan is not updated by the bank till the last date, such candidates should send the copy of paid e-challan through e-mail on jeemain@nic.in.
