NATA Syllabus 2019- The Council of Architecture (COA) will release the complete syllabus for NATA 2019 in the month of December 2018 for NATA aspirants. Candidates can check the important topics that need to be prepared for the test in NATA 2019 syllabus. There will be three section in NATA 2019 that are Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing. Candidates should grab all the details of NATA syllabus and exam pattern to impart value to their preparation strategy. NATA 2019 will be held in the online and offline mode in the last week of April 2019. There will be two parts i.e. Part A (Online Test) and Part B (Offline Test). It is three-hour duration test. NATA 2019 syllabus will consist of important topics that candidates have to prepare for the test. Read the article to get complete details of NATA syllabus 2019-

Below is the list of chapters and topics that are necessary for preparing. For Mathematics, refer the NCERT books.

Understanding of scale and proportion

Architectural awareness

Algebra

Geometric composition

Textural Identification of commonly used material and objects

Logarithms

Building forms and elements, aesthetics, harmony and contrast, colour texture, conceptualization and visualization by structuring objects in memory

Visualizing different sides of three dimensional objects

Matrices

Drawing geometrical and abstract patterns

Visualizing three dimensional objects through two dimensional drawing,

Permutation and Combination

Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes, and colour texture

Imaginative comprehension and expression

Coordinate Geometry and 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry

Perspective drawing, sketching of common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc. and urbanscape and landscape

Analytical and Verbal Reasoning

Trigonometry

Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms, generating plan, elevation, and 3D views of objects

Mental ability (verbal, visual, and numerical)

Calculus – Theory & Application

 

General awareness of renowned architects and famous architectural installations

Statistics, and Probability

 

NATA 2019 Exam Pattern

  • There will be two papers- Paper A and Paper B.
  • The duration of NATA 2019 will be of 180 minutes.
  • No mark will be deducted for marking incorrect response.
  • Paper A will be an online test whereas Paper B will be conducted in 0offline mode.
  • Paper A will consist of General Aptitude and Mathematics while Paper B will consist of drawing questions.
  • It is necessary to attempt both papers.

NATA 2019 Preparation Tips

To pass the NATA 2019 Exam with good scores, candidates should make the most of their time by preparing strategically. Here we have provided a few preparation tips that help you in making a good strategy-

  1. Get details of NATA Pattern and syllabus and cover all the topics.
  2. Make short notes on important formulas while preparing. This will also help in revising easily.
  3. Regularly revise the prepared topics to remember the facts and figures for the longer period.
  4. Solve as many mathematical questions you can to improve the calculation speed.
  5. Practice the drawing skills daily. Visualise the daily use objects and try creating the images.
  6. Learn to create visually appealing images.
  7. Refer the previous year’s question papers to check the difficulty level of the test and prepare accordingly.
  8. Instead of mugging up the GK books, read the newspaper regularly to stay updated with the current affairs it will cover the general awareness section.
