Anika Gupta studied Computer Science and Molecular Biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Anika loves poetry. Little did she know that it would come in handy at MIT.

In an algorithm class in the upper years, she discovered her professor was not only very smart, but also shared her love for poetry

The Clue: On the first day of class, the professor began by comparing coding to poetry.

This led her to exchange poet recommendations with her professor, which started a connection that would continue after MIT.

You would certainly expect to find poetry on a college curriculum, but an algorithm class may not have been on that list!
