Episode #171:
Ruby Hsu is a graduate of the University of Vermont (UVM) with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Applied Economics.
At UVM Ruby met all kinds of students in her classes.
Some would ask the Professor questions, but never take notes.
Yet there were others, like Ruby, who took copious notes. But they didn’t ask questions.
In one of her classes, Ruby met a girl who sat in the first row.
The kind that asked questions, but did not take any notes.
Ruby asked her why she did not take notes.
She replied that she spent all her time in class listening and asking questions.
She told Ruby that she had really good handwriting and they should collaborate.
She told Ruby to continue taking notes.
They could study together and she would explain difficult concepts to Ruby.
Then Ruby could lend the notes to her to study.
She explained. And Ruby lent.
A friendship was born.
