VIT University takes admission in UG four-year B. Tech Programme through VIT Engineering Entrance Exam, commonly referred to as VITEEE. Every year, the entrance test is conducted in the online mode in the month of April. VIT conducts the entrance test for offering admission to its four campuses that are Vellore Campus, Bhopal Campus (Madhya Pradesh), Chennai Campus, and Amaravati Campus (Andhra Pradesh). In 2018, approximately 2.33 lakh candidates appeared in the VITEEE Examination.

VITEEE 2019 is a University level entrance exam, to be conducted in April 2019. The online registration for VIT Entrance test is likely to be commenced in the first week of November 2018. Only eligible candidates will be able to send their VITEEE application form till the last week of March 2019. This 03-hour duration Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted for those candidates who have completed their Intermediate examination with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and will complete the age of 17 years till 01 July 2019. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019.

VITEEE 2019 Important Dates

No official date related to the VITEEE Exam has been released. However, it is expected that the admission process will be commenced in the last week of October 2018, with the release of exam dates and eligibility. Meanwhile, refer the tentative schedule of the VITEEE 2019 to make yourself ready.

VITEEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions include the age limit, minimum percentage, Qualifying examination details, nationality and more. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to take admission in VIT University. Hence, it is a must for all aspirants to check each and every condition carefully to avoid the hassles of the admission process. Candidates have to meet all the mentioned conditions in order to apply for the test-

• Nationality- Indian Nationals/ NRI/ Foreign Nationals/ PIO and OCI holders are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019.
• Age Limit- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 01 July 2019.
• Minimum Educational qualification- Candidate must have qualified the Class 12^th or equivalent examination with a minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ J&K migrants/ North Eastern parts of India)
• Candidates studied the qualifying examination from National Institute of Open Schooling are also eligible.

VITEEE 2019 Application Form

After checking the complete details of eligibility, the next step is to read all the instruction of the application process. The VITEEE 2019 application form will be released online on the official website of VIT University, vit.ac.in, in the first week of November 2018. Candidates can submit the forms with necessary documents and application fee till last week of March 2019. The process to fill the application form and other required information is mentioned here for the convenience of the candidates.

How to fill Application form?

The exam conducting authority will release the application form in two modes online and offline mode. The offline forms can be purchased from the campuses while the online application form can be filled on the official website. The online application form will be concluded in four steps-

Step 1- Online Registration- To register online, candidates need to enter their name, date of birth, nationality, gender, mobile number and email ID in the specified blanks.

Step 2- Filling Form online- Login to your account with computer generated application number and password to access the complete application form. Candidates have to enter the valid and correct details including the contact details, educational details, and category.

Step 3- Fee Payment- To complete the application form, candidates need to pay the requested application fee through Net banking/Credit card/Debit card. NRI aspirants have to pay the application fee of USD 50 via Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore.

VITEEE 2019 Offline Forms

The hard copy of the application forms can be purchased from the various campuses of VIT that are Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal or Amaravati campus through a demand draft of Rs 1200 (inclusive of GST) drawn in favor of “VIT University” payable at Vellore. The application forms will also be available at various post offices, a list of which will be released in the month of November 2018.

Candidates have to fill all the mandatory field of OMR application form, affix a recent photograph, sign at the mentioned space and send it in the given envelope. Candidates can opt for registered post or speed post to send the OMR application form. Candidates will receive an SMS as acknowledgment slip stating that the application form status.

VITEEE 2019 Exam Pattern

• The exam will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test) only.
• The questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in English Language.
• The exam duration will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
• For each correct answer, one mark will be allotted and there will be no process of negative marking.

VITEEE 2019 Exam Centres

The VIT entrance test will be conducted in 116 cities in India and 3 cities outside India including Kuwait, Dubai and Muscat. The list of Indian exam centres is given below. This is list is subjected to changes as the official notification is yet to be released.

VITEEE 2019 Syllabus

The exam will contain the subject such as Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/ Biology. The candidates can check the syllabus subject wise from below.

English: The topics for this subject are Comprehension questions, Multiple Choice Questions, English Grammar, and Pronunciation.

VITEEE 2019 Preparation Tips

Preparing for any entrance examination requires dedication and focused approach. Qualifying an examination with good marks will depend on how focused and dedicated you are. Here are some preparation tips for aspirants who want to qualify the exam-

Know the Pattern & Syllabus- The preparation starts with complete knowledge of exam pattern and syllabus. Getting details of important topics helps you to make a good study plan, according to which you can divide your study time. Don’t skip any section else it will reduce your possibility to attain good marks and rank.

Revise on regular Interval- Revision on regular basis help you staying in tune with important facts. The syllabus is vast and remembering everything till the last moment is not possible for students. The regular revision will help you to retain the formulas and concepts for a longer period.

Solve Mock Test- As the VITEEE 2019 is an online exam, solving mock test will help you to manage your time during the examination. These mock test will also provide you the actual understanding of difficulty level and examination pattern. The more mock test you solve better will be your problem-solving speed.

VITEEE 2019 Slot Booking

In order to download the hall ticket, candidates first need to book a test slot. In slot booking, candidates have to select the exam centre and time according to their preferences. The slot booking will be made on ‘first-come-first served basis’. The slot booking process is likely to be commenced in the first week of April 2019. Candidates will need their application/ registration number and password/ date of birth details to book the slot. If any candidate fails to book the slot then the exam officials will allot the test centre on the basis of availability.

VITEEE 2019 Admit Card

Straight after booking the slot, candidates will be able to download their admit card from the official website. The admit card of VITEEE will contain the VITEEE 2019 roll number, exam date & time, venue of the test center, category, candidate photograph and signature, etc. Check the procedure for downloading the admit card below-

• Enter your application/ registration number and password/ date of birth
• The admit card will appear on your screen.

VITEEE 2019 Result

The result of VITEEE 2019 will be announced in online mode on the official website of the VIT University. It is expected that the result will be declared in the last week of April 2019. In the result, candidates will be able to check their subject-wise scores and rank obtained.  Candidates will not receive any hard copy of the rank card on their postal address. • Click the link referring “VITEEE 2019 Result”
• Enter the asked details such as 10-digit Application number and date of birth and click on submit tab.
• The rank card will appear on your screen.

Candidates have to download the rank card for the counselling process.

VITEEE 2019 Cut Off

VITEEE cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to attain in order to get qualified for the counselling process. The cut-off marks will be available after the declaration of VITEEE 2019 result. The branch and campus wise cut off list will be released by the exam conducting authority. VITEEE 2019 Counselling

After the declaration of result, VIT will release the merit list and candidates will be called according to their rank for attending the counselling process. The process will be conducted to offer seats in desired campus and course. The seats will be allotted according to the rank attained and the preference of the candidates. After the seat allotment, candidates have to submit Rs. 50,000 through DD in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore in order to confirm their seat.
