Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is newly established institute of Engineering, which has gained achievements in very short period of time and also becoming the leading technical institute in the world. IIT Mandi was set up on 24th February 2009. The main campus is settled and is found an insignificant of 14 km from mandi city. under the capable initiative of  Prof. T. A. Gonsalves, Director, IIT Mandi,The Institute has moved from quality to quality since its foundation. The institute is situated in the Sivalik Range of the Himalayas, where learner gets a balmy atmosphere for its academics & research. The residential campus in the peaceful landscape by the river Uhl offers a world-class scholastic condition with a high caliber of life in a setting of normal wonder. The IIT Mandi was registered as a society in Uttarakhand, on 20th June 2009. The objective of the Institute is to transform an ordinary learner into an “ace” scientist in their specific field, who believes in innovation & creating new products for the mankind. Institute imparts cutting edge education for their learners and trained them for making next generation products for the world. The vision of the institute is to be a leader in science and technology education, knowledge creation and innovation, in an India marching towards a just, inclusive and sustainable society.

IIT Mandi is the first among the IIT's to develop and utilize the main campus. The move to main campus  which began in July-September 2012 has been consistently picking up force.The shifting of all B.Tech students from the permanent campus in Kamand has been finished and all the significant activities are being carried out of Kamand Campus.
