Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT Nagpur) is a public engineering and research institution in India and located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in central India and established in 1960 by the government of India.As per a survey the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur was amongst the top 15 institutes in the country producing human resource capable of coping with the accelerating pace of technological developments at international level. The institute provides world-class infrastructure facilities spread across 215 acres near Ambazari Dam.

VNIT Nagpur has been ranked 42 among engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2017and 18 by Outlook India in 2017.The institute offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in engineering, technology, and architecture.

Institute invites various public and private sector organizations for campus recruitment of final year students. During the academic year 2015-16, more than 100 companies visited the campus and offered 543 jobs.
