Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India level entrance examination conducted by seventeen National Law Universities (NLUs) rotationally. This is a common entrance exam for admission to undergraduates and post-graduates (LLB and LLM) degree programmes. The CLAT Core Committee made a decision that the test will be conducted by 18 NLUs in a rotation, in order of their establishment. As per the rotation, CLAT 2019 will be organized by National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO).
CLAT is conducted on the second Sunday of May every year. Candidates clearing CLAT can use their scores for admission in various private and government law colleges across India. CLAT 2019 important dates have already been announced. CLAT 2019 will be conducted on May 26, 2019, online registration process for which had started from January 13, 2019, and will close on April 15, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria
CLAT eligibility criteria 2019 defines the minimum requirements including age, qualification and minimum percentage of marks in the previous exam, candidates need to meet to apply for the exam. Candidates who meet CLAT 2019 eligibility criteria should only fill the application form. Interested candidates can read conditions they need to meet to apply for CLAT 2019 in the information brochure released by the exam conducting authorities.
Eligibility for CLAT 2019 for UG programmes:
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students) from a recognised board. Students appearing in qualifying examination are also eligible for CLAT 2019.
Eligibility for CLAT 2019 for PG (LLM) programmes:
Educational Qualification:
Aspirants must have completed a three-year LLB OR five-year Integrated LLB OR any other degree in the field of law from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST students).
CLAT 2019 Age Limit for PG Courses
There is no upper age limit to appear in the CLAT 2019 for LLM programmes.
Application Details
CLAT 2019 application forms will be available online at the official website. The forms are expected to be provided from January 13, 2019, for the exam scheduled on May 26, 2019. Candidates planning to register for CLAT 2019 exam are advised to first read eligibility criteria and proceed with the application process only when they meet the requirements. Also, keep scanned copy of the documents ready with you before filling CLAT application form 2019.
CLAT 2019 Application Form Filling Process:
The registration for CLAT 2019 can be done via online mode only, on the official website of CLAT
The applicants are required to visit the official website of CLAT 2019 i.e. www.clat.ac.in and click on the tab "Apply Online" on the upper right corner of the website
Click on the "Register Yourself" button to sign up by filling up the required information in the registration form
If already registered, click on the other tab "Already Registered" to redirect to the login page
Now, login to the page and fill up the online application form, upload your recent photograph, signature, and other documents
Pay the application fee by using (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card etc.)

English Comprehension
The English section in the CLAT UG 2019 will assess students’ English proficiency. This section will also evaluate their grammar. The English Comprehension section will gauge students’ understanding of the English passage. This section will also ask students to correct the incorrect grammatical errors in the sentences and use the appropriate words to complete the incomplete sentences.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs
The General Knowledge and Current Affairs section will assess students’ general awareness about various topics and current happenings. This section will have questions on national and international current affairs as well.
Mathematics
The Mathematics section will evaluate students’ learnings of the Mathematics subjects up to 10th standard.
Legal Aptitude
The Legal Aptitude section will evaluate students’ interest and awareness about the study of law. It will also gauge their problem-solving ability and research aptitude. Students, in this section, will need to sense the true legal prepositions mentioned in the question paper and answer accordingly.
Logical Reasoning
The Logical Reasoning section will evaluate students’ aptitude to identify various patterns and links between them. This section might have questions based on the logical sequences, analogies and syllogism etc.
