How are grades determined in universities of usa?

Hi!
Most US colleges have a GPA scale, based on a 4 point system. You get letter grades per course that translate into GPA points. Some classes are also graded on a curve. Your letter grade for most classes is calculated through a combination of exams (midterms and finals), homework, assignments etc.
