How do students choose courses?
(Note: This question was asked at a presentation I made at the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in Chennai, December 2019.)

Students choose courses based on two criteria:
1) Does the course pertain to the major the student is pursuing?
2) Even if the course is not related to their major, does it interest them?

Students browse the course catalog of their university's website to decide which courses they would like to take, keeping in mind the aforementioned questions.
